2023 KY PREP SOFTBALL STATE SOFTBALL RANKINGS

Many thanks to Jim McAlister of KY Prep Softball in London, KY for providing the rankings from 1995 through 2021.

It is almost that time of year again!! We would like to carry on the tradition of the late Jim McAlister and ask for your input on the best players and teams from your Region. We would like for every high school softball coach to vote for the Top 10 Players in their Region and Top 10 Teams in their Region. Please send an email to kysoftballrankings@gmail.com with your list including your Region Number in the Subject line of the email. Please submit your list by February 17^th, 2023.

The results will be posted starting the week of February 20^th, 2023 on www.104thescore.com plus twitter accounts @1047thescore and @JbrownESPNKY

We are hoping for great participation in the anticipation of the upcoming softball season. Last year 89 coaches submitted Top 10 List. We hope that number increases in 2023. Here is the 2022 breakdown by Region:

2023 TOP 25 SEASON POLL

Please also submit a Top 25 State Poll by March 8th to Nate Bryan and Les Dixon. They will be compiling votes from all coaches in the state for the Top 25 Coaches Poll closer to the start of the season. Last year in May we averaged around 50 coaches per week. Let's see if we can get at least 75. Send your Top 25 to:

2022 KSCA Coaches’ Weekly Poll

Send your Top 25 Teams (numbered) each week by noon on Mondays to ldixon@thetimestribune.com (the first ballots accepted will be Monday, March 21 by noon). Les Dixon and Nate Bryan will be compiling and posting the list to social media.

Nate Bryan was born and raised in Hardin County, Nate Bryan is a two-time KSCA Media Member of the Year Award winner and has had his byline appear in many of the state's newspapers, including Ashland, Elizabethtown, Georgetown, Henderson and Louisville. Find him on twitter at @NateInSports

Les Dixon is the sports editor at the Times-Tribune (Corbin) and Sentinel-Echo (London) and cover eight 13th Region High Schools. He has been doing this for the past 26 years. He is also a member of the KY Prep Softball Hall of Fame along with the 13th Region Boys and Girls Hall of Fames as well.
