2005 Itinerary for All Stars

Friday, June 17, 2005

All players must check-in with All Star Directors between 2:00 and 4:30 pm at the Crowne Plaza Campbell House Inn.

Buses for practice (for players) will load between 4:50 pm and 5:00 pm at the Crowne Plaza Entrance. Departure for practices at 5:00 pm.
Juniors will practice at Lexington Catholic High School
Seniors will practice at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School
Practices will be from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm for each team-----maps to fields at www.kyhighschoolsoftball.com/e-wmaps2004.htm
After Practice: All players will take the buses from the practice sites to Applebees Park to watch a State Semifinal baseball game at Applebees Park (Home of the Lexington Legends). Players will sit together in the "Party Deck." Players are to be recognized at the game. Players will receive $5 in "Big L Bucks." They may use this toward the purchase of any food at Applebees Park. After the baseball game, the buses will drop players at the Crowne Plaza, then at the practice sites (if you have left a car there).

Players wear All Star Uniforms on Saturday

Seniors' Game* at 11:00 am at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Senior players must arrive at the park by 9:45 am.

Juniors' Game* at 2:00 pm at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Junior players must arrive at the park by 12:45 pm.

All State selections for all classes including 1^st Team, 2^nd Team, and Honorable Mention will be presented their awards imediately following the Senior Game (approx. 12:45 pm). (All State teams will be posted at www.kyhighschoolsoftball.com/allstate.htm following the state tournament). If you are going to be at the game to receive your allstate recognition, then check-in at the pressbox at P.L Dunbar during the senior game on Saturday.

The all star banquet will begin at 8:00 pm at the Red Mile. Tickets and check-in will begin at 7:30 pm

The following will be honored at the banquet

2005 Hall of Fame members will be inducted. Lori Bayless (former player of George Rogers Clark HS and Tennessee Tech University, 1998, 1999, and 2000 1^st Team All State, 2000 Kentucky Prep Player of the Year) and Dana Smith (former player of Reidland HS and Southwest Illinois College, 1998 & 1999 1^st Team All State, 1999 Miss Softball, and current coach at Graves Co. H.S.) will be inducted.
The Junior and Senior All Stars for the East and West Teams.

Players wear their school’s uniform on Sunday

Juniors' Game* at 1:00 pm at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Junior players must arrive by 12:00 pm.
